Broadway Sheet Metal was established in 1964, at which time the owners purchased 5 acres of land located 2 miles west of El Campo, Texas and constructed a 15,800 square foot fabrication building and offices. Broadway Sheet Metal initially provided metal fabrication to the Texas Gulf Coast grain facilities and cotton gins with an emphasis on layout, sizing, fabrication, and installation of air circulating systems. Over the years due to the increased awareness by the agribusiness industry of the need for containment and removal of fugitive dust particulate Broadway Sheet Metal devoted an increased portion of their metal working capacity to the fabrication of dust collection systems and bag type filter housings.
El Campo Sheet Metal Works, Inc., was established in January of 1985 when Ecil Harris, an initial co-founder and a group of eighteen employees and investors purchased the assets of Broadway Sheet Metal Works, Inc. Under their management the efficiency of the operation was dramatically increased with upgrades in tooling, welders, metal workers, and a CNC Plasma layout and metal cutting system.
On January 1, 2000, three employees, Gary Mazoch, Billy Drapela, and Wade Venglar partnered with two local construction contractors, Ed Erwin and Butch Dluhos, to form El Campo Sheet Metal, L.L.C. (ECSM). From its inception ECSM has grown from a job shop fabrication company with eleven employees to a turnkey fabrication and installation company with twenty-six employees. ECSM has recently expanded our shop area by 6000 square feet.
With recent upgrades in our material handling we can now fabricate structural items in addition to sheet metal. We have extensive experience in carbon steel, galvanized steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
